A death has ocurred…

we just decided who would die in our show. sadly we have lost our dear friend frida in an atlantean battle. I guess I shouldn’t tell you the ending, but you know how I always say everyone should die in the end? well that’s a possibilty, but its also possible they survived. It’s all possible at lovewell.

A Lovewell Fairy Tale

this is a tale of how we used our creativity to design our show graphics.

Once upon a time our graphic called for three silhouettes of falling sailors. First we thought to look online, but we then realized that this is lovewell and at lovewell we do things more creatively. Suddenly out of nowhere, our fairy godmother Cecilia, had this bright idea to take pictures of three volunteers who would be willing to fall/jump. So the three volunteers and the fairy godmother ventured through the campus with the help of the some cheerful Scandinavian woodland creatures. We came to the first ledge and placed a matress at the bottom of it, but we didnt jump. “This ledge is too high!”, Goldilocks (Natalia Solomon) said. so we looked for another ledge. We came to the second ledge, a window from our friend’s cottage. But this windowsill was not quite right! ” This ledge is too low!”, said Goldilocks 2 (Sherie Spangler). So off we went again on our quest to find a window. After narrowly escaping the Big Bad Carrie, the Evil Witch Michael Finke, and the murderous Princess Mats we came to our lovewell work room. We placed the matress in the golden meadow and leapt from the window. “This ledge is just right!”, I said. So the three blind mice gracefully hopped from the window, flipping and flopping in the air. Our fairy godmother waved her magic camera as all the woodland creatures cheered! When we decided we had the picture we headed off into the sunset and lived happily ever after and the graphic came out beautifully!

Sorry for the delay! it’s been a crazy few days.

So Friday we named the show. are you ready? drumroll please!

The Drop
an atlantean musical

pretty epic huh?
well Friday night a few people went to see onr of our music staff’s band called yours truly.Saturday we had the morning off but me and few people advertised our show. Sherie, my roomie Agnes and I sported sandwich lovewell signs and passed out flyers. after that we were called in for a surprise activity. the scavenger hunt. well I dont want to give that away but it was pure chaos( in a good way). Saturday night some of us including me went to a concert by Nippe, our music director’s band, Four Real. Sunday we slept in til about lunch time and then blocked the opening number. It features water glasses, twirling, stomping, carriography and jenography, and epicness. then we worked on costumes with the very helpful grad students. today is monday and I’m about to go to lovewell. so thats all for now folks!

love j. co

Albert and Sara’s british day

Awkward Albert and splendid Sara speaking. Two Swedes with a good, no great, sense of humour. This is our third year at Lovewell and we we still think it is just as marvelous as the very first day two years ago. Now Isadora Maxine Spangler told us to live up to our statement of our great humour… but screw that. Today Albert and Isadora Maxine Spangler wrote a superb song about the dolphin daughter. We think it is going to make it into the show. Now Albert asks himself… What did Sara do today? She did laundry. Now her clothes are clean, but wet. Albert asks Sara if she has put them in the dryer. She has not, she has yet to do that. Now Jamie Cohen (bloody American, yuck) told us that we are no longer allowed to blog on the Internet. But no hard feelings because we will publish this anyway! Today was iindeed a jolly good day.

Cheerio!
