Hey Hey Hey

Hey, my names Julia and this is my 2nd year at Lovewell in Dayton. This years show is gonna be amazing, mostly because of the 14 totally creative kids we have this year. Within the 1st day of brainstorming, we already almost had a set plot and time frame. After the 2nd day of brainstorming, we all loved the idea of the story( can’t tell you what it is ) and were creating little details about it. Now we are in the middle of the 2nd week and are about half way through the 1st act. We are on fire! Yesterday, we were so in the zone, that we almost forgot to do affirmations. Well got to get back to vocal warm ups. Hope to see you at the show!

Dayton 2010: Day Four!!

Hey! My name is Kels and this is day four of our Lovewell program. It has only been four days and we have already come so far. Day one we came in as fourteen total strangers and left as fourteen friends who are amazingly close. By day two we learned so much about each other and became even closer. On day two we actually started brain storming for our show. You might think that asking fourteen unique teenagers to come up with one idea would be difficult, but only two times around the group we had a consistant theme and a multiple sub plots. By day three we had created our families and discovered how we fit into each story. And as much time that we spent working on our story we still have time to spend two hours to getting our butts kicked in dance warm-ups with Jesse and work our voices extremely worked in warm ups with Michael. We also get breaks and time to just be creative on our own. Lunch time usually consists of  impromtu piano concerts, dance routines, and brainstorming sessions. For me, coming here, i wasn’t sure how this process would work. I couldn’t have imagined that it would come together so fast in such little time.  I definitely didn’t think that I would click so magnificently with all the other students in this program. I believe that this is all for today, I will be back soon for more updates later.
